About the Role
We are looking for a Senior AutoCAD / Inventor Software Engineer with deep expertise in AutoCAD/Inventor, 3D modelling, CAD automation, and software development around CAD platforms. You will work closely with clients to understand complex requirements involving AutoCAD/Inventor and partner with the engineering team to design and implement software solutions, automation workflows, APIs, and extensions. This role is ideal for someone who has built software around AutoCAD/Inventor, rather than someone whose experience is limited to using AutoCAD as a modelling or drafting tool. ⚠️ IMPORTANT CANDIDATE NOTE
• We are looking for candidates who have developed software, automation, APIs, plugins, or integrations around AutoCAD/Inventor.
• Candidates who have primarily used AutoCAD/Inventor for drafting or modelling, without experience in software development, APIs, automation, or extending the platform, will not be considered.

What You'll Do
• Understand and translate complex client requirements involving AutoCAD/Inventor into technical solutions.
• Work closely with clients and the engineering team to design and implement CAD-based software solutions.
• Build software and automation solutions around AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Develop applications and workflows using AutoCAD APIs.
• Automate CAD workflows to improve engineering productivity and efficiency.
• Extend AutoCAD functionality through plugins, add-ins, and custom tools.
• Work with 3D modelling workflows and CAD-related engineering use cases.




• Integrate CAD capabilities with broader software systems and applications.
• Troubleshoot, improve, and optimize existing CAD automation solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers across product, software, and AI teams to build scalable solutions. What We're Looking For
• 5+ years of relevant experience working with AutoCAD/Inventor and CAD software development.
• 3D Modelling Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD and/or Inventor for 3D modelling.
• Platform Extension: Proven experience building software, plugins, add-ins, extensions, or custom tools around AutoCAD/Inventor.
• APIs & Automation: Strong experience with AutoCAD APIs and workflow automation.
• Engineering Domain: Robust understanding of CAD workflows and engineering use cases.
• Client-Facing Architecture: Ability to understand complex client requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Core Engineering

Skills:
Strong software development, system design, and problem-solving skills.
• Collaboration: Ability to work closely with both external clients and internal cross-functional engineering teams. Good to Have
• Experience with the cloud version of AutoCAD and building solutions using its APIs.
• Experience with Autodesk Platform Services (APS) / Forge APIs.
• Experience working with Inventor APIs.
• Experience building and deploying enterprise AutoCAD plugins/extensions.
• Experience integrating CAD platforms with cloud applications or enterprise systems (ERP/PLM).
• Experience working on large-scale CAD automation or engineering software products.
