A Field Sales Executive at Paytm is responsible for visiting shops, retail stores, restaurants, and other businesses to promote Paytm's payment services, onboard current merchants, and increase the use of digital payments.

- Job responsibilitiesMerchant acquisition: Visit local shops and businesses to onboard new merchants to Paytm.
- QR code installation: Help shopkeepers set up Paytm QR codes for accepting payments.
- Soundbox sales: Explain and sell Paytm Soundbox devices and other merchant payment solutions.
- Field visits: Travel within an assigned area to meet shopkeepers and business owners.
- Sales targets: Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets for merchant onboarding, device sales, or activations.
- Customer support: Help merchants with basic payment-related issues, device setup, and service queries.
- Relationship management:



Maintain good relationships with existing merchants and encourage regular use of Paytm services.
- Reporting: Submit daily sales reports and update merchant details through the company's designated app or system.
- Eligibility criteriaEducation: Often 10th or 12th pass; some roles prefer graduation.
- Experience: Freshers can apply for many openings; sales experience is an advantage.
- Skills: Communication, convincing ability, customer handling, and negotiation.
- Other requirements: Smartphone and, depending on the role, a two-wheeler with a valid driving licence.
- Work type: Full-time, on-site fieldwork.
