Role Description The US Accountant role in Thane is a full-time, in office position responsible for managing accounting functions for US-based clients. Daily activities include recording and reviewing financial transactions, preparing and maintaining general ledgers, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. The role involves preparing financial statements, reconciling bank and account balances, and supporting US tax compliance and reporting requirements in coordination with senior team members.

The US Accountant will communicate with clients on accounting queries,



ensure adherence to US GAAP and relevant regulations, and collaborate with internal teams to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, preferably with exposure to US GAAP and US accounting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and cloud-based accounting tools, with solid Excel and general MS Office skills.
- Experience in bookkeeping, ledger management, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
- Understanding of US tax concepts and compliance processes; prior experience with US tax or outsourced accounting for US clients is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with international clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CPA, CA, or equivalent) are a plus.
