STAR HI HERBS PVT. LTD. is looking for an Supply Chain Executive to join its Supply Chain Department team at the Jigani Unit, reporting to the Head of Department. The role coordinates and monitors daily logistics operations, including vehicle placement, dispatch planning, shipment tracking, freight management, documentation, and delivery follow-up. The goal is timely, cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate vehicle arrangements and dispatch schedules according to operational requirements.
- Coordinate with transporters, drivers, suppliers, customers, and internal departments to ensure timely movement and delivery of materials.
- Monitor vehicle placement, loading, unloading, shipment movement, and delivery completion.
- Update the daily logistics tracker with vehicle placement, dispatch details, shipment status, and expected and actual delivery dates.
- Maintain a daily vehicle movement register with vehicle number, transporter name, driver details, reporting time, loading time, and departure time.
- Monitor pending dispatches, in-transit shipments, delayed deliveries, and proof of delivery (POD) status.
- Maintain daily inward and outward material movement records in coordination with Stores and Purchase.
- Obtain transportation quotations and prepare freight comparisons for review and approval.
- Update the transporter and freight tracking sheet with approved rates, actual freight charges, and additional expenses.
- Verify transporter invoices and supporting documents before forwarding them for approval.




- Track transporter bills received, pending verification, and submitted for payment approval.
- Monitor freight expenses and identify opportunities to improve transportation cost efficiency.
- Reconcile dispatch records with invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, LR/GR copies, and POD documents.
- Ensure raw materials, packing materials, and finished goods are handled and transported according to quality, safety, and hygiene requirements.
- Follow up on delayed shipments, vehicle breakdowns, and delivery discrepancies, and escalate unresolved issues to the HOD.
- Maintain a pending-issues tracker covering vehicle delays, delivery discrepancies, missing documents, and transporter complaints.
- Review previous-day pending activities and follow up on outstanding deliveries, documents, and transporter payments.
- Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, Production, Sales, Quality Assurance, and Accounts for smooth logistics operations.
- Prepare and circulate the daily logistics status report, plus weekly and monthly logistics performance reports.
- Keep all logistics records updated accurately in the ERP system or designated Excel trackers.
- Maintain electronic and physical filing of logistics documents for audit and management reference.




- Support internal and external audits by providing logistics records and documentation.
- Perform other logistics-related duties assigned by the HOD.

Requirements

- Working knowledge of logistics documentation such as invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, LR/GR copies, and PODs.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Strong coordination and communication skills for working with transporters, drivers, suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate daily records.
- Ability to follow up persistently and escalate issues on time.
- Understanding of freight costing and transporter bill verification.
- Willingness to work from the Jigani Unit and follow company procedures and management instructions.

Qualifications

- MBA or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
