The incumbent would be responsible for the following
1. Cost & time savings in Logistics
- Ensure credit days from service providers are received as per management guideline.
- Ensure timely payments are processed as per contractual rate & terms & conditions and payments are released on time.
2. Compliances & Controls
- All records to be kept properly as per Audit requirements. Necessary back up should be kept for risk mitigation.
- Ensuring All information, documents are to be available for internal & external audit purpose with proper justification.
- Regular update on outstanding payments, reconcile and get periodic no dues certificate from all service providers.
3. Freight RFQ Management
- Attend Freight enquiries, get offers, negotiations, nomination of contract, Information sharing & close coordination with concern team members for information & documentation
- To finalise short term / Long term rate contract for freight requirements.
4. Vendor development
- Monitor the performance of the Forwarding Agents as per SLA on regular basis.
- Develop service providers for better price, delivery, services, compliance and any other benefit to the Organisation.
5. On time delivery
- Tracking & monitoring of shipments on daily basis for ETD, ETA at all locations Origin, Transhipment & Destination ports to ensure 100% timely delivery of all nominated shipments.
- Monthly sailing schedules to be provided to customer for their better planning.
- Assist team with operations activities pre & post arrival of shipment such as SO, pick up, DO, movement, destuffing etc.
6. MIS & Improvement Initiatives
- Improvement initiatives-Lead for improvement projects to improve process, productivity, costs, time, compliance, automation & digitization etc.
- Regular review with internal team and cross functional team for sharing of information and corrective preventive actions.
