About the Role

IAC is looking for a Project Manager to drive business development, trade promotion and investment facilitation projects. The role involves identifying opportunities, managing client and partner relationships, delivering projects and events, and reporting on outcomes.

Location: Chennai | Experience: 3 to 6 years

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, engage and nurture companies seeking cross-border expansion, and advise them on market entry and expansion opportunities.
- Develop and execute business development and outreach strategies to generate leads and achieve agreed revenue and project targets.
- Manage projects end to end, from proposal to delivery, within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Facilitate B2B meetings, investor interactions and trade delegations of high quality and impact.
- Plan and deliver business missions, roadshows, conferences and promotional events.
- Build and manage relationships with clients, partners, trade associations, chambers of commerce, investment promotion agencies and government bodies, and develop partnerships and strategic alliances that support business growth.
- Ensure timely follow-ups and investor support, converting opportunities into tangible projects.
- Conduct market research and provide market intelligence and sector insights to support decision-making.
- Represent IAC at industry events, trade fairs and networking forums, and deliver presentations to stakeholders.
- Maintain the CRM with up-to-date leads,



meetings and project status.
- Track KPIs and prepare monthly and quarterly reports for senior management.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Business Development, Research, Marketing, Operations, Finance and HR) and international partners and agencies for smooth project execution.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, where applicable.
- Stay updated on industry developments, trade policies and global economic trends.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, International Business or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 3 to 6 years' experience in business development, trade promotion, investment promotion, international business or advisory.
- Understanding of international trade practices, trade policies and cross-border business culture.
- Proven experience in client and stakeholder management, including engaging senior executives and government officials.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinking, cultural awareness and attention to detail.
- Solid analytical and research skills; proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools (such as Zoho or Salesforce).
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
