Job Overview:

We are looking for an Experience Interior Trim Design Engineer with solid hands-on expertise in CATIA V5 and automotive interior component design. The candidate should have experience in developing interior components from concept to final design, ensuring quality, manufacturability, and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop automotive interior components such as Instrument Panels (IP), Centre Consoles (CNSL), air vents, ducts, pillar trims, and door trims.
- Create and modify CATIA V5 models, including parts, surfaces, and engineering drawings.
- Conduct packaging studies, master section creation, and digital pre-assembly.
- Apply GD&T; and ensure compliance with engineering requirements and CAD design standards.
- Participate in design reviews, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and provide effective design solutions.
- Identify and resolve design issues throughout the product development lifecycle until final release.
- Support benchmarking, cost reduction,



and design-to-cost initiatives.
- Understand prototyping, manufacturing, and assembly processes for automotive interior components.
- Ensure timely delivery of design milestones while maintaining quality standards.
- Use Teamcenter and VisMockup for design data management and visualization.

Required Skills:

- Hands-on experience with CATIA V5 (Part Design, Surface Design, and Drafting).
- Strong knowledge of automotive interior trim development and packaging requirements.
- Understanding of GD&T;, engineering drawings, and product development processes.
- Familiarity with Teamcenter, VisMockup, and MS Office tools.
- Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and Six Sigma.
- Good communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
