About the RoleWe are looking for a Mechanical CAD Engineer who can prepare accurate drawings and 3D models for mining components and equipment.
You will work closely with our engineering and production teams, gaining practical exposure to how components are designed, manufactured, repaired, and assembled.
What You Will Do
- Create and update 2D engineering drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
- Prepare component and assembly drawings with transparent dimensions and tolerances.
- Prepare bills of materials—lists of the parts and materials needed for an assembly.
- Work with machining, fabrication, and repair teams to ensure drawings are practical to manufacture.
- Update drawings based on workshop feedback and maintain organised design files and revisions.
- Help check component fitment and resolve drawing-related issues.
What We Are Looking For
- B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–2 years of experience in mechanical CAD design or drafting.
- Working knowledge of CAD software for 2D drafting and 3D modelling.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensions, tolerances, and component fitment.
- Basic knowledge of machining, fabrication, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Attention to detail and willingness to work closely with shop-floor teams.
- Knowledge of GD&T;—geometric dimensioning and tolerancing—is an advantage.
