: IT Administrator / Junior System Administrator

Location: TIPS Coimbatore Campus

Reporting to: Head of IT / IT Manager

Functional Reporting: Head of School

Experience: Fresher to 2 years

CTC: ₹18,000 – ₹25,000 per month

Objective:

To support the smooth functioning of IT infrastructure and technology systems across the campus. The role involves assisting with network maintenance, hardware and software troubleshooting, user account management, classroom technology support, and IT helpdesk operations. The candidate will work closely with the IT team to ensure reliable, secure, and uninterrupted technology support for academic and administrative activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in maintaining campus LAN, Wi-Fi networks, network switches, and basic connectivity.
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, software applications, and hardware peripherals.
- Support the setup and maintenance of classroom technology, including interactive flat panels, projectors, smart boards, and audio-visual equipment.
- Provide first-level technical support to teachers, administrative staff, and other campus users.
- Maintain IT asset inventories, software records, service logs, and equipment allocation details.
- Assist in basic network security practices, antivirus management, software updates, backups, and access control.
- Support school ERP systems, online learning platforms,



and video conferencing tools.
- Coordinate with vendors and senior IT personnel for hardware repairs, network issues, and technical maintenance.

Qualification Required

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications (BCA/MCA), Hardware and Networking, or a related field.
- Freshers with a robust technical foundation and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, Microsoft 365, or other relevant IT certifications will be an added advantage.

1. Hardware and Software Support

- Basic knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware, Windows installation, software configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to diagnose common printer, scanner, and peripheral issues.

2. Networking Fundamentals

- Basic understanding of LAN, WLAN, Wi-Fi, IP addressing, routers, switches, and network connectivity.
- Willingness to learn network monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting.

3. Operating Systems and Applications

- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and common office applications.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and school ERP systems is desirable.

4. Classroom Technology Support

- Basic knowledge of projectors, interactive flat panels, smart boards, audio systems, and video conferencing tools.
- Ability to provide timely technical assistance during classroom sessions and school activities.
