Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced DGM – Finance & Accounts to drive the Finance & Accounting function. The candidate should have robust hands-on expertise in Accounts Finalization, Reconciliations, Payables & Receivables, Audit closures, Banking & Treasury, Fund management, Stakeholder Management.

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting, Forecasting & MIS

- Lead preparation of annual budgets, operating plans, cash flow forecasts, and long-term financial projections.
- Develop financial models to support business expansion, investments, capital allocation, and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis to management.
- Recommend corrective actions for cost overruns, revenue gaps, and working capital pressures.
- Develop and improve MIS dashboards and management reporting for timely decision-making.

Finance, Accounting & Controls

- Oversee accounting operations, month-end/year-end closing, reconciliations, and finalization of accounts.
- Ensure compliance with Ind-AS, taxation, statutory requirements, and internal financial controls.
- Monitor shipping/vessel-related expenses and drive Dry Dock cost reduction and operational cost optimization.
- Strengthen cost controls and provide financial insights to improve profitability.

Audit, Tax & Compliance

- Ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Manage tax assessments, litigation,



statutory filings, and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, government authorities, DGFT, and other external agencies.

Treasury, Banking & Controls

- Manage banking relationships, treasury, cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and fund requirements.
- Oversee banking facilities, fund-based/non-fund-based limits, guarantees, LC, debt, and financing arrangements.
- Support refinancing, capital raising, and negotiations with banks/financial institutions.
- Monitor forex, interest rate, liquidity, and financial risks.

Payables, Receivables & Working Capital

- Oversee vendor payments, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and ageing.
- Ensure timely reconciliations and resolution of outstanding vendor/customer balances.
- Improve working capital and cash conversion through effective fund and collection management.

Candidate Profile

- 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in Shipping/ Maritime/Logistics, or other asset-intensive industries.
- Strong expertise in Accounting, Reconciliations, Finalization, Audit Closures, AP/AR, Vendor Payments, Treasury, Banking, and Working Capital.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills with banks, auditors, vendors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Proven leadership capability with a strong focus on cost optimization, compliance, controls, cash flow, and business growth.
