Role Description The Accountant role at Vardhman Gold is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The individual in this role will manage day-to-day accounting activities, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and ensuring accurate documentation of sales, purchases, and inventory related to gold products.

Responsibilities include preparing and reconciling bank statements, assisting with monthly and annual closing, supporting tax and regulatory filings, and monitoring accounts payable and receivable.



The Accountant will collaborate with internal teams to verify invoices, resolve discrepancies, and support audits and compliance checks. This role also involves generating periodic financial reports and providing data to support management decisions.

Qualifications

- Robust knowledge of basic and advanced accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as MS Excel and related spreadsheet tools.
- Experience in handling taxation, GST, and regulatory compliance, preferably within trading, retail, or manufacturing sectors.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to reconcile complex transactions and statements.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with sales, operations, and management teams.
- Relevant educational background such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in accounting roles; experience in the jewelry or precious metals industry is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
