Role Description The Academic Counsellor Sales role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.

The Academic

Counsellor will engage with prospective and current students to understand their educational and career goals, explain course offerings, and guide them toward suitable programs. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, handling walk-in and telephonic inquiries, following up with leads, and supporting enrollment targets through consultative selling. The role also involves maintaining accurate student records, coordinating with faculty and administrative teams,



and participating in events or seminars to promote courses.

The ideal candidate will balance compassionate student support with a strong focus on meeting course admission and sales objectives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to guide learners toward appropriate courses and career paths.
- Candidates should possess effective Academic Advising and Education-related knowledge to explain programs, curricula, and exam preparation pathways clearly.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken and written communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant experience in academic counseling, educational sales, or training institutes is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, psychology, or business is an added advantage.
- Ability to work with targets, manage multiple inquiries, and use basic computer and CRM tools efficiently.
- Fluency in English and local languages, with a professional and student-centric approach.
