The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in driving retail performance, overseeing daily operations and delivering an elevated customer experience.

This role is ideal for a retail professional who combines strong sales capabilities with team leadership, operational discipline and a genuine appreciation for premium products. The successful candidate will help maintain Gioia’s brand standards, strengthen customer relationships and ensure the store consistently meets its business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, revenue growth and store productivity goals.
- Assist in managing day-to-day store operations, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to company standards.
- Deliver an elevated customer experience by building meaningful customer relationships and providing personalised product recommendations.
- Ensure the team has solid product knowledge and can effectively communicate Gioia’s craftsmanship, materials and design philosophy.
- Monitor daily sales performance, identify opportunities for improvement and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, stock movement and accurate maintenance of store records.
- Ensure visual merchandising, product displays and overall store presentation reflect Gioia’s premium brand identity.
- Handle customer queries,



feedback and escalations professionally, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
- Maintain high standards of store discipline, grooming, customer service and operational compliance.
- Track local market trends, customer preferences and competitor activity to identify opportunities for sales growth.
- Take responsibility for store operations in the Store Manager’s absence, ensuring continuity of service and business performance.

What We're Looking For

- Min 3 years of retail experience, preferably in premium or luxury retail, with exposure to team supervision or store operations.
- Strong understanding of retail sales, customer engagement and day-to-day store management.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets, support team performance and improve store productivity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Hindi.
- Strong customer orientation, commercial awareness and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to coach, motivate and support retail associates in a fast-paced retail environment.
- A hands-on approach, with the flexibility to manage floor operations and step into a leadership role when required.
