Company Description JJ College of Engineering and Technology (JJCET), established in 1994–95, is a pioneering technical institution administered by the Sowdambikaa Group of Institutions since 2019–2020. The campus is located on a 100-acre site in Ammapettai village near Tiruchirappalli, adjacent to National Highway NH45, and is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. JJCET offers nine undergraduate programs spanning Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Computer Science and Engineering (including Cyber Security), Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Aeronautical, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering.

The institution also offers three postgraduate programs in Engineering and Technology, along with an MBA, providing a broad academic environment for teaching, learning, and research.

Role Description The Assistant Professor role is a full time, on-site position based at the JJCET campus in Palayankottai. The individual will deliver lectures, conduct tutorials and laboratory sessions, and guide students in assigned undergraduate and postgraduate disciplines. Daily responsibilities include preparing course materials, assessing student performance, providing academic mentoring, and maintaining accurate records of attendance and evaluation.

The role involves contributing to curriculum development, engaging in research and scholarly activities, publishing in reputed journals,



and participating in departmental and institutional committees.

The Assistant

Professor is also expected to support accreditation activities, outreach initiatives, and continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices.

Qualifications

- Strong subject-matter expertise in relevant engineering or technology disciplines, with the ability to teach core and elective courses effectively.
- Demonstrated skills in classroom teaching, student mentoring, and academic advising, with a learner-centered approach.
- Research aptitude, including the ability to design studies, write proposals, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and participate in conferences.
- Competence in curriculum planning, course design, and the integration of modern teaching methods and educational technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts clearly and collaborate with colleagues.
- Postgraduate degree (M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or equivalent) in a relevant specialization from a recognized university; Ph.D. or enrollment in a Ph.D. program is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with AICTE and Anna University regulations, academic quality standards, and accreditation frameworks such as NBA is an advantage.
- Ability to work constructively in a diverse academic environment, manage time effectively, and contribute to institutional development activities.
