POSITION: Application Engineer

REPORTS TO: Manager – Technical/Design

JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for Application / Technical Support.

Responsibilities & Duties:

➢ Coordinate with Sales team for special project request to meet customer requirement.

➢ Working with Refrigeration & Air conditioning systems, Standards, Psychrometries.

➢ Compressor selection, S&T; HX/F&T; HX selection, Expansion Valve selection, Fan selection,

Refrigerant inline Component selection.

➢ Refrigerant line sizing, Water line sizing.

➢ Able to read Electrical drawings & give necessary inputs.

➢ Providing Inputs to Factory Engineering team for customized project.

➢ Understand and make sure product meets safety, reliability, manufacturing. assembly & robustness.

Qualification & Skills:

➢ B.E. / B. Tech Mechanical / M. E in Thermal Engineering with specialization in Refrigeration &

Air conditioning

➢ 5+ years hands-on experience in HVAC product/system design and development,



including component selection, system integration, concept development, core knowledge of

Thermodynamic principles.

➢ Core knowledge of HVAC components selection, simulation, testing for chillers, Shell & Tube,

Tube & Fin heat exchangers, expansion valves, filter driers, reversing valves, check valves, safety valves

➢ Hands on experience in selection & simulation like Unilab coil & SHARK software, ThermalX etc.

➢ Core knowledge of HVAC products simulation, test plan creation and testing, chiller working logic

➢ Core knowledge of Refrigeration & Airflow related standards AHRI 550/590 / 551/591 etc.

➢ Core knowledge & understanding of Electrical & Electronics

➢ Knowledge on 2D & 3D design modelling software’s (AUTOCAD, CREO, Solid edge,

SolidWorks).
