Job Description

Hello Kids Growing Roots Preschool is looking for a caring, responsible, patient, and dedicated Preschool Caretaker to support the daily care, safety, hygiene, and well-being of young children.

The ideal candidate should enjoy working with children, maintain a clean and safe environment, and assist teachers in managing daily preschool activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Take proper care of preschool children and ensure their safety at all times.
- Assist teachers in managing children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and other school routines.
- Help children with basic personal hygiene, including handwashing and toilet assistance, as age-appropriate.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in classrooms, washrooms, and play areas.
- Help children during snack and lunch breaks.
- Support children during arrival, departure, and dispersal.
- Comfort children who are upset and help them settle into the preschool workplace.
- Assist teachers in arranging activity materials, toys, and classroom resources.
- Ensure toys and learning materials are clean and safely stored.
- Follow all school safety rules and child protection policies.
- Immediately report any injury, illness, accident, or safety concern to the teacher or school management.




- Maintain a friendly, respectful, and caring attitude towards children, parents, and colleagues.
- Follow school rules regarding punctuality, attendance, uniform, mobile phone use, and professional conduct.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Minimum 10th or 12th pass preferred.
- Previous experience in a preschool, daycare, or childcare centre is an advantage.
- Must be patient, caring, trustworthy, and responsible.
- Must enjoy working with young children.
- Good personal hygiene and a neat appearance.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Must be punctual, disciplined, and attentive.
- Basic communication skills in Hindi are required; basic English is an advantage.
- Willingness to follow school policies and child safety procedures.

Working Hours

As per the preschool’s working schedule. Candidates should be comfortable working during regular school hours.
