You will work closely with the leadership team to build HR systems that scale with the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll & Compensation Management

▸Manage salary structures, increments, arrears, deductions, and full & final settlements
▸Maintain payroll records and generate payslips via payroll software (e.g., Keka, GreytHR, or equivalent)
▸Co-ordinate with the Finance team for disbursements and expense reimbursements
1. Stipend Management
▸Administer stipend disbursements for interns and contractual contributors
▸Maintain stipend agreements, offer letters, and timely renewal documentation
▸Track joining / exit of interns and ensure proper onboarding & offboarding
1.
Performance Appraisals & Goal Management
▸Design and execute the annual and mid-year appraisal cycles
▸Facilitate goal-setting (OKRs / KRAs) in collaboration with team leads and directors
▸Maintain appraisal records, calibration notes, and increment recommendation sheets
▸Drive a culture of continuous feedback and recognition
1. Training & Learning Development
▸Identify training needs through skill gap analysis and manager inputs
▸Organise and co-ordinate internal workshops, external certifications, and e-learning programmes
▸Maintain training calendars, budgets, attendance records, and feedback reports
▸Evaluate the effectiveness of training interventions and iterate accordingly
1. Statutory & Legal Compliance
▸Ensure compliance with applicable Indian labour laws and statutory requirements:
- Provident Fund (PF) — registration, challan filing, ECR submissions
- Employee State Insurance (ESI) — enrolment, contributions, claim support
- Professional Tax (PT) — monthly deduction and remittance
- TDS on Salary (Form 24Q) — co-ordination with CA / Finance
- Gratuity, Bonus Act, Shops & Establishment Act — record-keeping and compliance
▸Liaise with PF/ESI portals, company CA, and labour departments as required
▸Keep employee documentation current — contracts, NDAs, appointment letters, etc.
▸Maintain a compliance calendar and ensure zero statutory penalties
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
▸Manage end-to-end hiring for full-time, contract, and internship positions
▸Conduct HR screening rounds, co-ordinate technical interviews, and manage offer rollouts
▸Execute structured onboarding — induction, system access, buddy assignment, 30-60-90 day check-ins
1. Employee Relations & HR Operations
▸Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries on HR policies, leave, benefits, and conduct
▸Maintain accurate HRMS records — attendance, leave balances, personal files
▸Handle grievance redressal in a fair, confidential, and timely manner
▸Drive employee engagement initiatives — team events, surveys, feedback forums
▸Draft and update HR policies, employee handbook, and standard operating procedures
Qualifications & Experience
▸MBA in Human Resources (compulsory); full time MBA preferred; PGDM / MSW in HR may be considered
▸2-3 years of experience in a generalist HR role including recruitment; prior HR experience in the IT / software industry is an added advantage
