Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare authentic Italian dishes including pizza, pasta, risotto, soups, salads, sauces, appetizers and desserts .
- Handle daily mise en place and ensure all ingredients are ready for service.
- Prepare and maintain quality pizza dough, pasta, sauces and other Italian preparations.
- Follow standard recipes and maintain consistency in taste, portion size and presentation.
- Ensure timely preparation of orders during busy café hours.
- Check the freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
- Maintain proper food storage, labeling and portion control.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain efficient use of ingredients.
- Assist in developing new Italian dishes and seasonal café specials.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and workstations.




- Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
- Coordinate with the café/service team for smooth order execution.
- Follow food safety standards and kitchen SOPs.
- Guide and support junior kitchen staff when required.

Required Skills : Robust knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques Expertise in pizza, pasta, sauces and Italian preparations Good food presentation and plating skills Knowledge of food costing and portion control Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety Ability to work efficiently during peak hours Good teamwork and communication skills Creative approach towards menu development Strong attention to taste, quality and presentation
