Job Purpose: The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining safety, discipline, and security of the institutional premises, including monitoring entry and exit of visitors, protecting property, and ensuring a secure workplace for students, staff, and visitors.
- Monitor entry and exit at the main gate.
- Verify identity cards of students and staff.
- Maintain visitor entry register.
- Issue visitor passes where required.
- Prevent unauthorized persons from entering campus.
- Monitor movement during working hours.
Property Protection Duties
- Safeguard institutional assets and infrastructure.
- Prevent theft, damage, or misuse of property.
- Monitor parking areas and vehicle movement.
- Report suspicious activity immediately.
Safety Monitoring Duties
- Ensure discipline at campus entry points.
- Monitor CCTV alerts (if assigned).
- Assist during emergency situations.
- Support fire safety procedures when required.
- Inform authorities about safety hazards.
Student & Visitor Support Duties
- Guide visitors to concerned departments.
- Assist during admission periods and events.
- Maintain order during examination days.
- Help manage crowd during functions/programmes.
