Software Test Engineer - AutomationExperience : 4 - 7 YearsPrimary Focus : - Playwright- MCP- AI - Assisted Automation- API Testing- CI/CDRole Overview :We are looking for a hands-on Software Test Engineer - Automation with strong experience in modern test automation. The candidate should have deep expertise in Playwright, practical exposure to Model Context Protocol (MCP), and experience using AI - assisted development/testing tools. The role requires an automation - heavy engineer capable of building and maintaining scalable automation across UI, API and CI/CD workflows.Key Responsibilities :- Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.- Build scalable automation using Page Object Model (POM), fixtures, hooks and reusable utilities.- Develop and maintain automated functional, integration and regression suites.- Work with advanced Playwright capabilities including network interception, API mocking, parallel execution, retries, traces and cross - browser execution.- Perform API testing using Postman and integrate API validations into automated workflows.- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or equivalent.- Leverage AI - assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor or equivalent for automation development, debugging, test generation and failure analysis.- Work with MCP (Model Context Protocol)



within AI - assisted testing/engineering workflows.- Perform database/backend validation using SQL where required.- Analyse automation failures, identify root causes and continuously improve framework reliability.Mandatory Skills :- 4 - 7 years of overall QA / Test Automation experience.- Minimum 2+ years hands - on production experience with Playwright; 2 - 3 years preferred.- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript.- Strong Playwright framework development/maintenance experience.- Solid understanding of POM, fixtures, hooks, locators, waits, assertions and reusable framework components.- Practical MCP / Model Context Protocol exposure.- Hands - on usage of AI - assisted development/testing tools such as Copilot, Claude, Cursor or similar.- Strong API/Postman testing experience with automation/integration exposure.- Hands - on experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.- Candidate should be automation - heavy in recent projects, rather than predominantly manual testing.Good to Have :- Selenium/Java- REST Assured- Cucumber/BDD- SQL- Docker- JMeter/K6, cloud platforms, BrowserStack/LambdaTest and exposure to RAG/vector - database - based AI testing are advantageous.Candidate Profile We Want :We need someone who can confidently explain what they personally built, particularly around Playwright framework architecture, POM, fixtures/hooks, network interception, API/Postman, CI/CD, AI - assisted automation and MCP.
