The Senior General Ledger Accountant ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Being a Senior General Ledger Accountant analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. In addition, Senior General Ledger Accountant may supervise and guide lower-level accountants. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require CPA certification. Being a Senior General Ledger Accountant contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.



Work is generally independent and cooperative in nature. Working as a Senior General Ledger Accountant typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience.

Work closely with international teams for monthly financial reporting and consolidations;
Perform quarterly financial statement flux analysis;
Prepare and document journal entries and reconciliations relating to balance sheet accounts;
Prepare account reconciliations for assigned areas in a timely manner;
Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and workflow quality;
Record fixed asset purchases to the subledger for the parent company and subsidiaries;
Liaise with internal and external audit for mid-year and year-end audit support;
Support accounting process for South America operations;
Perform other related accounting duties as assigned;
Ensure accurate and timely monthly and year end close and financial reporting information;

- 5+ years of experience in corporate / GL function or combination with public accounting;
- Highly motivated, flexible, while maintaining attention to detail;
- Excellent general ledger system, computer and business solutions software skills;
- A relevant University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required..
