As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the delivery of high-quality, robust, and scalable web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive quality across the SDLC, and help prevent defects with early detection strategies. Your role is critical in shaping a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Lead quality strategy across all stages of the SDLC — from requirement analysis to production release and post-release validation.
Design scalable, maintainable, and risk-based test strategies aligned with business and product goals.
Develop and maintain robust automated test frameworks for Web and API applications using Playwright and Karate.
Own end-to-end quality for features, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and security validation.
Define and implement CI/CD quality gates and integrate automated suites into pipelines.
Drive root cause analysis for production issues and implement preventive quality measures.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and UX teams to ensure high-quality releases.




Establish and track quality metrics (Defect Leakage, Automation Coverage etc.) Continuously improve testing frameworks, tools, and processes to enhance speed, reliability, and scalability.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Experience
5 to 7 yrs of experience in Software Quality Engineering, including strong automation expertise.
Strong hands-on experience in UI automation, API testing, performance testing, and quality engineering.
Expertise in building and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks.
Proficiency with Playwright, Karate, JMeter, Postman, and similar testing tools.
Strong programming skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.
Experience with BDD frameworks and best practices.
Hands-on experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).
Experience working in Agile environments and cloud-based testing.
Understanding of AI concepts, AI-powered applications, AI testing, evaluation methodologies, and RAG fundamentals.
Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
Experience with SaaS or B2B products is an added advantage.
