General Manager – Housekeeping & Facility Services Company: The Cleaning Company

We are looking for a hands-on General Manager to lead our housekeeping manpower and deep cleaning business. You will take ownership of daily operations, team performance, client satisfaction, collections, profitability and business growth.
This role requires someone who can independently manage office and field teams, visit client sites, resolve problems and maintain clear accountability through regular reporting to the Director.
Lead daily operations across housekeeping contracts and deep cleaning assignments, ensuring adequate manpower, service quality and timely execution.

- Manage operations managers, field officers, supervisors and office teams, with clear responsibilities and performance reviews.
- Work with HR on recruitment, deployment, attendance, retention, training and workforce discipline.
- Maintain client relationships, conduct review meetings, resolve complaints and improve contract renewals.
- Review site profitability, control overtime and operating expenses, and identify underperforming contracts.
- Coordinate with accounts to ensure accurate billing, timely collections and resolution of outstanding payments.




- Support new business, quotations, contract negotiations, upselling and mobilisation of new sites.
- Improve the use of digital attendance, reporting and operational tools.
- Submit a weekly dashboard covering operations, manpower, clients, sales, collections, profitability and priority actions.

Preferably 8+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years managing multiple sites and teams.

- Strong experience in housekeeping, facility management, contract staffing or a closely related service business.
- Demonstrated responsibility for budgets, profitability, collections and client retention.
- Confidence with spreadsheets, management reports and digital tools.
- Gujarati, Hindi and English proficiency preferred.
- Willingness to work from Ahmedabad and travel to client sites as required.

Assess operations and site profitability, stabilise manpower, strengthen client relationships, improve collections and establish clear team accountability and reporting.
