Role Description The Green Building Certification Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata. This role supports green building and sustainability projects from concept to certification, including documentation, data collection, and coordination with project teams, clients, and certifying bodies.

The associate will assist in applying rating systems (such as LEED, IGBC, GRIHA or similar), preparing technical submissions, tracking compliance, and ensuring timely completion of certification milestones.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting sustainability research, reviewing architectural and engineering drawings for alignment with green building criteria,



preparing reports and presentations, and maintaining organized project records.

The role also involves working closely with internal consultants and external stakeholders to implement practical, low‑carbon and resource-efficient solutions in real estate and industrial projects.

Qualifications

- Foundational knowledge of green building rating systems and sustainability frameworks (e.g., LEED, IGBC, GRIHA, WELL, BREEAM) and an interest in certification processes.
- Ability to interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings, with understanding of building design, energy efficiency, water management, and materials selection.
- Strong research and analytical skills for collecting, validating, and organizing environmental and project performance data.
- Proficiency in documentation, report writing, and presentation preparation, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills to collaborate with project teams, clients, and external agencies.
- Basic competency in relevant software tools (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, presentation tools; exposure to energy modeling or building performance software is an advantage).
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil engineering or environmental science ; professional certifications in green building or sustainability are a must
- Demonstrated interest in sustainability, circular economy, and low‑carbon development, with the ability to work on-site and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
