Role Description The Visiting Faculty – English role at Amity University in Ranchi is a full-time, on-site position focused on high-quality teaching and academic engagement in English language and literature.

Responsibilities include delivering lectures, seminars, and tutorials at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, designing and updating course content, and ensuring alignment with institutional academic standards. The faculty member will assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects, provide academic mentoring,



and support learners in developing strong communication and critical thinking skills. Additional duties may involve contributing to curriculum enhancement, participating in departmental meetings and academic events, and engaging in limited research or scholarly activities related to English studies.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid skills in English Teaching and Teaching, with experience in classroom instruction and learner-centered pedagogy.
- Candidates should possess skills in Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessment strategies for English courses.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of English Literature and Literature, with the ability to teach core and specialized topics in these domains.
- Candidates should possess advanced proficiency in written and spoken English, along with effective presentation, communication, and academic writing skills.
- Relevant academic qualifications, such as a Master’s degree or PhD in English, English Literature, or a closely related field, from a recognized institution.
- Prior teaching experience at the university level and a record of scholarly activity, publications, or participation in academic conferences will be considered an asset.
