Role Description The Trainee Faculty & Video Editor role is a full time, on-site position based in Surat. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in students for video editing classes and video production, and basic creative skills for students or junior team members. The role involves supporting the planning of lesson content, helping participants during hands-on practice, and providing feedback under guidance from senior faculty.

As a Video Editor, the trainee will work on organizing raw footage, performing basic edits, adding transitions, music, and titles, and ensuring timely delivery of polished videos aligned with the studio’s creative standards. The role also includes collaborating with the creative team,



maintaining project files, and learning new editing techniques and tools to improve quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

- Foundational video editing skills, including cutting, sequencing, and basic use of transitions, audio, and text overlays.
- Interest in teaching, mentoring, or assisting with sessions, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently.
- Advance understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and pacing, with a strong creative mindset and attention to detail.
- Comfort with using computers and common creative software; familiarity with any video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve) is an advantage.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to follow guidance, accept feedback, and work effectively in a team setting.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative; prior coursework or self-taught experience in media, design, or filmmaking is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Surat on a full-time schedule; reliable time management and professional conduct are expected.
