Guide to Heights is a study abroad consultancy headquartered in Kochi, with offices in Sharjah (UAE) and Melbourne (Australia). We are PIER-certified (QEAC) and British Council registered, and we help students and families from Kerala and the GCC get into universities in Australia, the UK, New Zealand, Ireland and beyond. Our focus is honest, career-focused guidance: the right course, a sound visa pathway, and support until the student is settled abroad.

About the Role

Are you a study abroad counsellor with 2+ years of experience placing students in Australia, the UK, New Zealand and Ireland? Join our Kakkanad team as a Student Counsellor. This is a hands-on counselling role (not a managerial position): you will own each student's journey from the first enquiry and counselling session through applications, offers, visa and onboarding.

Please note before applying:

- This is a 100% work-from-office role at our Kakkanad office. It is not remote or hybrid.
- A minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience as a study abroad counsellor for Australia, the UK, New Zealand and Ireland is mandatory. Freshers and candidates without this experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

- Call and follow up on enquiries, explain programs, eligibility, costs and scholarships, and convert prospects into applications




- Counsel students and parents (in person, by phone and on video calls) on course, university and destination selection based on academic profile, budget and career goals
- Evaluate eligibility and manage applications end to end: documentation, offer letters, acceptance, and CoE/CAS or equivalent confirmations
- Guide students through student visa applications for Australia (Subclass 500 and Genuine Student requirement), the UK, New Zealand and Ireland, including financial documentation
- Review and support SOPs, GS statements and scholarship applications
- Coordinate with universities and partners to move applications forward
- Keep student records, interactions and admission data accurate and up to date in the CRM
- Conduct orientation and pre-departure sessions and maintain a high-quality student experience
- Achieve weekly and monthly enrollment targets

What We're Looking For

- 2+ years' experience as a Study Abroad Counsellor, Education Counsellor, Student Counsellor or Admissions Officer at an overseas education consultancy
- Hands-on admissions experience for Australia, the UK, New Zealand and Ireland
- Good knowledge of entry requirements, intakes, English tests (IELTS/PTE/TOEFL) and student visa rules for these countries
- A track record of converting enquiries into enrollments
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Excellent spoken and written English and Malayalam
- Comfortable with CRM/lead management tools, Google Workspace/MS Office and video calls
- Based in or around Kochi/Ernakulam and able to work full time from our Kakkanad office

Good to Have

- PIER (QEAC) and/or British Council Agent & Counsellor certification
- Experience counselling GCC/NRI students and parents
- Experience with Germany or other destinations

Work Details

- Full-time, work from office at Kakkanad (Infopark Express Highway, Kochi)
- Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays during peak intakes
- Laptop and mobile phone provided
