About the Role

Aakhya India is looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to lead social media strategy and execution for government projects. The ideal candidate should have prior experience handling government clients, a strong understanding of public policy and current affairs, and the ability to develop impactful digital communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute social media strategies for government clients and other projects.
- Plan, create, and manage engaging content across social media platforms, including X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Manage monthly content calendars, campaign planning, publishing schedules, and platform-specific communication.
- Monitor current affairs, government initiatives, public policy developments, and emerging trends relevant to client projects.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely execution of social media posts, with close attention to approvals and deadlines.
- Coordinate with design, video, content, and account management teams to deliver effective digital campaigns.




- Monitor social media performance, prepare analytics reports, and recommend improvements.
- Track online conversations, identify potential communication issues, and support timely responses during sensitive situations.
- Ensure all content adheres to client guidelines, brand standards, and government communication protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 5–7 years of relevant experience in social media management, preferably with government clients, ministries, government departments, or public sector organisations.
- Demonstrated experience managing government social media accounts and digital campaigns is essential.
- Strong understanding of Indian current affairs, public policy, and government communication.
- Proficiency in social media management, analytics, and monitoring tools.
- Strong coordination, planning, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet strict deadlines.
- High attention to detail, accountability, and sensitivity while handling official communication.
