ABOUT THE POSITION AND OUR TEAM

Quality Engineer is an individual contributor embedded within a cross-functional product development team focused on building and maintaining high-quality software products. Their primary responsibility is to help the team deliver and sustain high-quality solutions by actively participating in testing activities throughout the development lifecycle, from early design through release.

This is a hands-on technical role that combines software testing, analytical skills, and test automation. The Quality Engineer works closely with developers, product managers, designers, and other Quality Engineers to identify risks, develop effective test scenarios, build and maintain automated tests, and evaluate product quality.

Success in this position requires solid technical skills, analytical thinking, curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to continuously learn and improve.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Testing & Analysis

You work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers throughout development, not just at the end. You analyze requirements, identify potential risks, and design test scenarios that cover expected functionality, edge cases,

and integration points.

You execute both automated and exploratory testing, investigate defects, and communicate findings clearly. You use logs, data, and system behavior to help identify the causes of issues and collaborate with developers to resolve them.

You take ownership of testing assigned features and contribute to assessments of product quality and release readiness, seeking guidance when dealing with unfamiliar or complex scenarios.

Automation & Tooling

You have hands-on experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated tests. You understand fundamental test automation principles, effective test design, and the importance of reliable, maintainable test suites.

You have experience building API and UI test automation using Playwright with TypeScript and are comfortable investigating and resolving common automation failures.

You can work with APIs, databases, and system integrations to validate functionality and investigate issues. You contribute to improving automation coverage and reliability while developing your ability to identify appropriate testing approaches across different layers of the application.

Technical Problem-Solving & Quality Engineering

You understand software development processes and have experience testing applications within an agile development environment. You can analyze technical requirements, identify testing needs, and apply appropriate testing techniques to evaluate functionality, reliability, and integration behavior.

You use a combination of automated checks, exploratory testing, and technical investigation to identify defects and validate solutions. You recognize gaps in test coverage and collaborate with more experienced engineers to address complex testing challenges.

You are interested in learning current technologies and are comfortable using modern development tools, including AI-assisted tools, to improve your productivity and testing effectiveness.

Communication & Collaboration

You communicate clearly and work effectively as a member of a cross-functional development team. You can explain test scenarios, report defects, communicate testing progress, and raise quality concerns in ways that help your teammates make informed decisions.

You collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve issues, participate in technical discussions, and seek feedback to strengthen your testing and automation skills.

You take ownership of your assigned work, ask questions when needed, and actively contribute to continuous improvement within your team.

Basic Requirements

- 3+ years of experience in software quality engineering, including hands-on experience with test automation and testing software applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Must-Have Skills:
- Playwright / TypeScript
- Web and API Testing / Automation
- SQL / Database Testing
- Functional and Exploratory Testing
- Test Design and Risk-Based Testing
- Defect Investigation / Technical Troubleshooting
