SFCC Test Automation Engineer (Playwright, TypeScript, JMeter)

Location: Remote, India (India-based candidates only) | partial US Central Time overlap
Experience: 5+ years in QA, with 3+ years of hands-on test automation
Engagement: Long-term contract

Important: This is a hands-on automation role. Profiles with only manual testing, or with Playwright / JMeter at "exposure", "basic" or POC level, will not be considered.

Job Summary
Test Automation Engineer to build and run automated UI, API and performance tests for a large-scale Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC / SFRA) e-commerce platform.

Responsibilities

- Design, build and maintain UI and API automation frameworks with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Automate end-to-end shopper journeys on SFCC: product discovery, cart, checkout, payments, promotions, subscriptions, loyalty and gift cards.
- Build and run JMeter load and performance tests; analyse results and report bottlenecks.
- Automate API tests (REST / OCAPI / SCAPI)



and integrate suites into CI/CD (GitLab, GitHub Actions or Jenkins).
- Run cross-browser and device tests on BrowserStack.
- Triage failures, log transparent defects and work closely with SFCC developers in Agile sprints.

Mandatory Skills

- 5+ years QA, of which 3+ years hands-on test automation.
- Playwright with TypeScript (or JavaScript) in a real project - framework design, page objects, fixtures, parallel runs.
- JMeter performance / load testing - scripting, parameterisation, assertions and result analysis.
- Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC / SFRA) or large e-commerce platform testing experience.
- API automation and Postman.
- CI/CD integration of test suites; Git.

Nice to have

- SFCC Business Manager, PWA Kit / headless commerce.
- TestRail, BrowserStack, Contentful.
- Payments, promotions and loyalty testing.
