Job Description:

A Safety Officer role focuses on workplace safety compliance, hazard identification, and EHS (Workplace, Health, and Safety) protocols in a large-scale chemical/starch manufacturing plant.

Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

- Plant Inspections: Conduct regular safety rounds across production lines, boilers, effluent treatment plants (ETP), and storage sections.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure adherence to the Factories Act, state safety rules, and internal EHS guidelines.
- Incident Reporting: Assist in investigating near-misses, workplace accidents, and maintaining safety documentation/logs.
- Training & Drills: Help organize safety awareness programs, fire safety mock drills, and proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for workers.
- Safety Committee Support:



Coordinate with department heads and the internal Safety Committee during periodic safety reviews.

General Eligibility & Requirements

- Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on industrial safety experience in a chemical, processing, or manufacturing unit.
- Qualification: Degree or diploma in industrial safety, or a degree in science/engineering combined with a recognized state-approved diploma in industrial safety.
- Salary Range: Typically ranges around ₹2.9 LPA to ₹3.5 LPA depending on exact profile and plant scale.
- Location: Factory site at Rawal Industrial Estate, Dondaicha, District Dhule, Maharashtra
