Role Summary

We need a hands-on ServiceNow AI engineer with proven experience implementing Now Assist agentic use cases. The role builds, tests and demonstrates working agentic solutions on the ServiceNow AI Platform, connects them to external agents and platforms through MCP and A2A, and documents what works so J&J; can make informed roadmap decisions. The engineer must be able to contribute quickly, with minimal ramp-up, and work independently in a short-duration engagement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Agentic Solution Design and Build

- Design and implement Now Assist agentic use cases, including AI agents, agentic workflows, tools and skills on the ServiceNow AI Platform.

- Translate experimentation goals from J&J; into working prototypes and repeatable patterns.

- Configure agent orchestration, prompts, guardrails and fallback behavior so agents act reliably.

2. MCP and A2A Integration

- Implement and test Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, exposing ServiceNow capabilities as tools and consuming external MCP servers.

- Implement Agent2Agent (A2A) patterns so ServiceNow agents can collaborate with agents on other platforms.

- Integrate ServiceNow agentic capabilities with Copilot, working directly with the Copilot team on architecture, authentication, identity and data access.

- Troubleshoot integration issues across ServiceNow, MCP/A2A endpoints and the Copilot layer, using logs, API responses and other diagnostic evidence.

3. Experimentation and Evaluation

- Run time-boxed experiments, test agent behavior against realistic employee scenarios, and capture results, limitations and lessons learned.

- Assess accuracy, security, performance, supportability and user experience of each pattern tested.

4. Roadmap Input and Knowledge Transfer

- Provide findings and recommendations that inform the 2027 DFD agentic roadmap, including architecture options and readiness considerations.

- Produce concise technical documentation, reference architectures and demos for J&J; stakeholders.





- Share working patterns and configurations so J&J; can reuse them after the engagement.

5. Collaboration and Delivery Discipline

- Work closely with the J&J; ESM team, the Copilot team, the Wipro ESM Program Lead and the Platform Architect.

- Follow J&J; change, security and development-versus-production controls, and give regular status updates on progress, risks and blockers.

Required Qualifications

- Hands-on experience implementing Now Assist agentic use cases in ServiceNow.

- Practical experience with MCP and A2A architectures, including working integrations rather than conceptual knowledge only.

- Experience integrating ServiceNow AI capabilities with external platforms such as Copilot.

- Strong ServiceNow platform skills: Flow Designer, scripting, REST/API integrations, roles and access controls.

- Solid understanding of APIs, authentication and authorization (OAuth, tokens, scopes, identity).

- Ability to independently diagnose issues across multiple integrated systems.

- Solid communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs to architects and business sponsors.

- Immediate or near-term availability and the ability to contribute quickly in a short-duration engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Now Assist, AI Agent Studio or AI Agent Orchestrator, and related ServiceNow AI Platform capabilities.

- Experience with Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio extensibility.

- Experience with Workflow Data Fabric or other enterprise data and search integrations.

- ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD) and Now Assist or AI-related credentials.

- Experience in a large, regulated global enterprise, preferably life sciences or healthcare.

- Experience working across US and India time zones.

Success Measures

- Working agentic prototypes delivered against agreed experimentation goals within the engagement window.

- MCP and A2A integrations with Copilot demonstrated and documented.

- Clear findings and recommendations delivered in time to inform the 2027 DFD agentic roadmap.

- Knowledge transferred to J&J; through documentation and demos.
