Job Description: An E&I; (Electrical and Instrumentation) Project Head oversees the full lifecycle of electrical, control, and instrumentation engineering scopes for industrial or infrastructure projects, ensuring they finish safely, on schedule, and within budget. Job Overview & Objective

- Role Summary: Lead and direct the E&I; engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning teams for major capital or construction projects.

- Reports To: Project Director / General Manager / Vice President of Projects

- Key Internal Interfaces: Process, Civil, Mechanical, Procurement, Quality Control (QA/QC), and Health & Safety (HSE) departments

- Key External Interfaces: Clients, EPC contractors, electrical/instrumentation sub-contractors, equipment vendors, and statutory/regulatory authorities

Core Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop and manage E&I; work breakdown structures (WBS), master project schedules, progress tracking metrics, and cost baselines.

- Engineering & Design Oversight: Review and approve electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), panel layouts, cable schedules, P&IDs;, loop diagrams, control narratives, and DCS/PLC/SCADA architecture.

- Procurement & Vendor Management: Coordinate the technical evaluation, long-lead equipment requisition, and factory acceptance tests (FAT) for transformers, switchgear, VFDs, field instruments, and control panels.





- Construction & Site Management: Supervise E&I; subcontractors on site for cable tray installation, pulling, termination, earthing, lighting, and hook-up activities.

- Testing & Commissioning: Lead pre-commissioning, loop checks, Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and plant startup/handover phases.

- HSE & Quality Compliance: Enforce strict site safety regulations, permit-to-work systems, and quality assurance standards.

- Stakeholder Reporting: Lead project review meetings, manage change orders, and present status updates to senior management and clients.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Electronics & Instrumentation.

- Experience: 12+ years of relevant experience in industrial facilities (such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, chemical plants, power, or water treatment), including at least 5 years in a leadership or project management capacity.

- Technical Knowledge:
- Deep familiarity with electrical distribution, protection systems, motors, and earthing.
- Hands-on exposure to field instrumentation, PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- Working knowledge of international standards (such as IEC, IEEE, ASME, or AST
