Role & responsibilities

- Lead SAP FI-CA solution architecture, configuration and delivery for utility contract accounting
- Conduct workshops, define receivables and payment processes, and translate requirements into SAP configuration and specifications
- Configure posting controls, clearing rules, payment lots, returns, dunning, collections, deposits, installments and write-off processes
- Coordinate integration with IS-U Billing, general ledger, banking, tax, customer service, data migration and reporting teams
- Lead reconciliation, unit and integration testing, user acceptance testing, cutover, go-live and hypercare
- Prepare configuration rationale, functional specifications, controls, test scripts, operating procedures and training material
- Advise client stakeholders on risks, dependencies, controls and issue resolution while mentoring the delivery team

Preferred candidate profile





- 10+ years of SAP Utilities experience with deep expertise in SAP FI-CA and contract accounts receivable and payable
- Robust knowledge of business partner, contract account, posting areas, document types, payments, returns, clearing, dunning, collections, security deposits, installments and write-offs
- Hands-on integration experience with SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing, general ledger, tax, bank interfaces, payment channels and customer service
- Experience supporting utility finance requirements and controls in environments where FERC-related accounting and reporting considerations apply
- Proven leadership across implementation, conversion, reconciliation, testing, cutover and production stabilization
- Ability to work onsite in the USA and provide senior client-facing support for the NiSource account
