Job Description: 3D Artist – Product Design & 3D Printing

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented 3D Artist to design, develop, and prototype innovative products, especially corporate gifting items and customized products. The ideal candidate should have solid 3D modelling skills and basic knowledge of 3D printing to convert design concepts into physical prototypes.

Key Responsibilities

- Create 3D models of new products, corporate gifts, desk accessories, organizers, and customized promotional items.

- Develop product concepts using sketches, reference images, and design briefs.

- Prepare 3D models suitable for 3D printing and prototype development.

- Operate or assist with 3D printers and understand basic printing processes.

- Use slicing software to prepare models for printing and configure basic print settings.

- Identify and resolve basic issues related to model geometry, printability, dimensions, and fit.

- Modify designs based on feedback, sample testing, and production requirements.

- Create realistic 3D renders and product visualizations for presentations, catalogues, and client approvals.

- Coordinate with the design, sales,



and production teams to develop practical and commercially viable products.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Proficiency in 3D modelling software such as Blender, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or equivalent.

- Basic knowledge of 3D printing technology, materials, and printer operation.

- Understanding of STL/3MF file formats and slicing software.

- Knowledge of product dimensions, proportions, tolerances, and basic design-for-manufacturing principles.

- Good visualization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

- A portfolio showcasing 3D models, product designs, or prototypes.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in product development, industrial design, or rapid prototyping.

- Knowledge of materials such as PLA, PETG, or resin, depending on the printer.

- Ability to convert concepts into functional and printable 3D models.

- Experience creating customized products for branding, gifting, or promotional applications.
