Assistant Manager – Study Abroad Sales & Counselling

About the Role

Salve Maria Group, an established international education consultancy with nearly 20 years of experience, is looking for an experienced and result-oriented professional to join our Study Abroad Sales & Counselling leadership team at Calicut.

The selected candidate will be considered for a branch-level leadership role, with responsibility for improving sales performance, guiding counsellors, strengthening lead management and driving student registrations.

Key Responsibilities

- Guide and supervise the Study Abroad Counselling and Sales Team.
- Drive student registrations, enrolments and achievement of sales targets.
- Monitor lead allocation, timely follow-ups and conversion performance.
- Support counsellors in handling student enquiries and closing registrations.
- Review individual and team performance against sales KPIs.
- Identify sales gaps and implement measures to improve conversions.
- Handle important student enquiries and complex counselling cases.
- Coordinate with destination teams and application departments.
- Improve team productivity, accountability and service quality.
- Support branch-level business growth and performance improvement.

Candidate Requirements

- Minimum 7 years of total professional experience is mandatory.




- Minimum 2 years of direct experience in the Study Abroad / Overseas Education industry is mandatory.
- Practical experience in student counselling, lead management and sales conversions.
- Ability to guide, motivate and monitor a sales or counselling team.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of international education counselling and student recruitment.
- Experience working with sales targets and performance reporting.
- Willingness to work full-time from our Thiruvananthapuram office.

Previous experience as a Senior Study Abroad Counsellor, Team Leader, Assistant Manager or Branch Manager will be an advantage.

Candidates with strong counselling and sales experience who are ready to take on greater leadership responsibilities are encouraged to apply.

Candidates who do not meet both minimum experience requirements will not be considered.
