Role Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical System Design Engineer with 8–12 years of experience in electrical design and engineering for substation, transmission line, and hydropower projects.

The candidate should have solid technical knowledge of electrical system design, engineering calculations, preparation and review of technical drawings and specifications, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with applicable international standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Substation Design

- Design and engineering of 66kV–400kV GIS/AIS substations.
- Execution of basic and detailed engineering, including load flow, short circuit, transient, power evacuation, insulation co-ordination, and power quality studies.
- Preparation of Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Design Basis Reports (DBR), Requests for Quotations (RFQ), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and technical specifications for electrical equipment.
- Preparation and review of Overall SLDs, AC/DC SLDs, Protection & Control SLDs, protection philosophies, and interlocking schemes.
- Equipment sizing and selection for Power Transformers, Circuit Breakers, CTs & PTs, Isolators,



Lightning Arresters (LA)/Surge Arresters, Bus ducts, Busbars, Capacitor Banks, and Reactors.
- Design of ACDB, DCDB, Battery Chargers, UPS, LT Panels, HT Panels, PCC & MCC, and DG sets.
- Auxiliary transformer sizing, DG sizing, Busbar sizing, short-circuit calculations, thermal checks, and cable schedule preparation.
- Earthing design and calculations, along with lightning protection system design.
- Illumination and small power system design.
- EHV, HT, and LT cable sizing, cable routing, and cable tray/trench design.
- Preparation and review of equipment layouts and section drawings.
- Review of vendor drawings and preparation of technical comments.

Protection & Control

- Protection coordination studies and relay setting reviews.
- IEC 61850-based Substation Automation System (SAS) engineering and participation in FAT/SAT.
- Review of protection logic, interlocking schemes, and SCADA integration.
- In-depth knowledge of communication protocols, including IEC 61850, Modbus, and IEC 60870-5-104.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
