About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Architect – Design & Development with 6+ years of experience in architecture and commercial interior design.

The ideal candidate should be more than a conventional designer. We are looking for someone who can think creatively, understand business requirements, develop design concepts, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and take ownership from concept to execution.

The person should have an entrepreneurial mindset, be comfortable working across different functions, and have the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems independently, and contribute to the growth of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities1. Design & Concept Development

- Develop architectural and interior design concepts for commercial spaces.
- Translate client requirements, brand guidelines and business objectives into practical design solutions.
- Prepare concept presentations, layouts, space planning and design proposals.
- Develop designs from concept through design development and execution.
- Ensure designs are aesthetically robust, functional, commercially viable and buildable.
- Explore innovative materials, finishes, technologies and design solutions.

2. Design Development & Documentation

- Develop detailed drawings, specifications, schedules and design documentation.
- Coordinate architectural, interior, MEP, structural and other specialist requirements.
- Review drawings and ensure design intent is maintained through execution.
- Identify design issues and develop practical solutions in coordination with the project team.
- Work closely with vendors, contractors and consultants to resolve technical challenges.

3. Client & Stakeholder Management

- Lead design discussions and presentations with clients.
- Understand client expectations and convert them into clear design briefs.
- Communicate design intent effectively to clients, consultants and execution teams.
- Build strong and long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Participate in site meetings, design reviews and project discussions.

4. Multi-Functional Role

- Work across design, business development, project coordination and strategic initiatives as required.




- Support the business development team in preparing design proposals and presentations.
- Participate in client pitches and presentations for new projects.
- Assist in developing project concepts, budgets and preliminary proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers, QS, procurement and execution teams to ensure commercial and technical feasibility.
- Take ownership of assignments beyond the traditional scope of an architectural role.

5. Business & Entrepreneurial Contribution

- Identify opportunities to improve design processes, project delivery and customer experience.
- Contribute ideas for new services, design offerings and business opportunities.
- Develop an understanding of project profitability, commercial considerations and client acquisition.
- Take initiative in solving organisational and project-level challenges.
- Act as an owner of outcomes rather than simply completing assigned tasks.

6. Team Leadership & Collaboration

- Mentor junior architects and designers.
- Review and guide design work produced by the team.
- Coordinate effectively with project managers, engineers, QS, vendors and contractors.
- Encourage a collaborative and solution-oriented working culture.
- Take responsibility for the quality and timely delivery of design outputs.

Desired Skills & Competencies

- Strong architectural and interior design skills.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in commercial architecture/interior design.
- Strong knowledge of commercial workplace, retail, hospitality, F&B; or other commercial environments.
- Excellent space planning and design development skills.
- Strong understanding of materials, finishes, construction methods and detailing.
- Ability to understand drawings and translate concepts into executable solutions.
- Strong presentation and client-facing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects or assignments simultaneously.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.




- Good commercial and business understanding.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D/visualisation and Adobe Creative Suite would be an advantage.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
- 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating commercial architecture and interior design projects.
- Experience in commercial interior fit-out will be highly preferred.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
