Job Summary
Cyient is looking for experienced CATIA V5 Engineers with strong skills in 3D modelling, 2D detailing, engineering drawings, and product design. Candidates should have knowledge of design for manufacturability, serviceability, fastener selection, and GD&T.;
Key Responsibilities
- Perform 3D modelling, 2D detailing, and 3D Functional Tolerance Analysis (3DFTA).
- Model and detail parts, assemblies, and installations using CATIA V5.
- Apply design for manufacturability and serviceability principles.
- Select appropriate fasteners and develop joint designs.
- Perform basic engineering calculations.
- Interpret and prepare engineering drawings in accordance with applicable standards.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;) principles.
- Work with PLM tools such as ENOVIA.
- Ensure engineering designs meet quality, manufacturing,
and project requirements.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with CATIA V5.
- Solid knowledge of 3D modelling and 2D drafting.
- Experience in parts, assemblies, and installation modelling.
- Knowledge of 3DFTA and GD&T.;
- Understanding of engineering drawing rules and relevant standards.
- Knowledge of fastener selection, joint design, and basic calculations.
- Familiarity with PLM tools such as ENOVIA.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech or relevant engineering qualification.
- Experience: 3–12 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred Specialization: Mechanical Engineering / Product Design.
- Work Locations: Bengaluru.
