Job Description – Performance Tester

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Performance Tester to design, develop, execute, and analyze performance and resiliency tests for distributed systems running in a Kubernetes setting. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, test automation, workload simulation, performance analysis, and identifying system bottlenecks.

Key Responsibilities

● Develop, execute, and analyze performance tests involving complex workloads and large simulated test datasets for distributed systems running in Kubernetes environments.

● Implement shift-left automated performance and resiliency testing as part of the Pull Request (PR) analysis process to prevent performance defects from reaching production.

● Develop automation tools or leverage open-source frameworks such as Apache JMeter to automate performance testing, analyze results, and report issues.

● Define performance testing strategies, establish benchmarks, publish performance metrics, and validate performance-related requirements.

● Prepare and present performance benchmarks, best practices, test results, comparisons, and detailed analysis to stakeholders and engineering teams.

● Analyze performance test results to identify bottlenecks, root causes, and opportunities for system optimization.

● Provide day-to-day technical guidance and hands-on support to other engineers on performance testing practices and tools.

● Collaborate with development, DevOps,



and engineering teams to improve system scalability, reliability, and overall performance.

● Integrate automated performance and resiliency tests into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.

Required Technical Skills

● Strong hands-on experience in Performance Testing and performance engineering.

● Proficiency in Apache JMeter or similar performance testing tools.

● Experience in workload modelling, load testing, stress testing, and scalability testing.

● Knowledge of Kubernetes and distributed system architectures.

● Experience with performance test automation and shift-left testing approaches.

● Ability to analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations.

● Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.

● Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

● Experience with performance and resiliency testing in cloud-native environments.

● Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.

● Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Java, or similar for test automation.

● Experience working with large-scale systems and complex test datasets.

● Understanding of microservices architecture and system reliability.

Candidate Requirements

● Experience: 4–7 years in Performance Testing / Performance Engineering.

● Location: Bangalore.

● Notice Period: Immediate joiners to candidates with a maximum of 15 days' notice.

● Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,700,000.00 per year
