Position: Umbraco Developer – ASP.NET Core

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain web applications and CMS-based websites using Umbraco CMS and ASP.NET Core.Develop custom Umbraco components, Document Types, Element Types, Block Grid, Block List, content structures, and reusable templates.Build backend functionality using C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, Web APIs, and modern .NET development practices.Customize Umbraco backoffice functionality, content workflows, user permissions, and editor-friendly content management experiences.Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party services, including authentication, payment gateways, CRM, and marketing platforms.Implement frontend functionality using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, Bootstrap, and modern frontend frameworks such as React or Next.js, where required.Work with SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, LINQ, and database optimization techniques.Implement search functionality using Umbraco Examine and Lucene, or external search platforms where required.Configure and maintain Umbraco environments, including local development, staging/UAT, and production.Deploy and manage applications on Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, and Azure Key Vault.Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.Follow secure coding practices, performance optimization, caching strategies, accessibility standards, and SEO best practices.Troubleshoot application, CMS, integration, deployment, and production issues.Use AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude hands-on for day-to-day software development activities.Leverage AI tools for code generation, code refactoring, debugging, unit test creation, technical documentation, API implementation, and troubleshooting.Review, validate, test, and improve AI-generated code to ensure correctness, security, performance, and maintainability before integrating it into production applications.Explore AI-assisted workflows to improve developer productivity, automate repetitive tasks, and accelerate development without compromising code quality.Collaborate with designers, project managers, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.Required Skills & Experience4+ years of overall experience in web application development, with at least 3+ years of relevant experience in C#, ASP.NET Core, and .NET.Hands-on experience with Umbraco CMS, preferably Umbraco 13, Umbraco 17, or another currently supported version.Strong understanding of Umbraco Document Types, Data Types, Block Grid, Block List, templates, content models,



and backoffice customization.Good knowledge of ASP.NET Core MVC, Razor Views, dependency injection, middleware, configuration, and application architecture.Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.Strong understanding of C#, object-oriented programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and design patterns.Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, LINQ, and database design.Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and responsive web development.Experience with Git, branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.Understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, input validation, and secure API development.Experience with Azure App Service, Azure SQL, or other cloud hosting environments.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and application deployment processes.Mandatory hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude.Practical experience using AI tools for code generation, refactoring, debugging, unit test generation, documentation, and resolving development issues.Ability to write effective prompts and provide relevant code or technical context to AI tools to obtain useful development assistance.Ability to critically review and validate AI-generated code, identify incorrect suggestions, and ensure compliance with project architecture, coding standards, security requirements, and performance expectations.Understanding of responsible AI usage, including protection of confidential source code, credentials, client data, and other sensitive information.Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.Good to HaveExperience with Umbraco 17 or newer supported Umbraco versions, including modern .NET hosting and deployment approaches.Umbraco certification or experience with the Umbraco Marketplace and package development.Experience with Headless Umbraco, Delivery APIs, and decoupled frontend applications using Next.js or React.Knowledge of TypeScript, React, Next.js, and server-side rendering.Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Docker, and containerized application deployment.Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Azure Bicep.Experience with automated testing using xUnit, NUnit,
