Job Description

MVSR Engineering College invites applications from highly qualified and experienced academicians for the position of Professor in English to provide academic leadership, strengthen teaching and learning practices, and support the overall development of the S&H; Department.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Teach English language skills, professional communication, technical writing and other relevant subjects to undergraduate engineering students.

· Lead curriculum planning, teaching methodology improvements and academic quality initiatives within the department.

· Guide students in developing effective communication, presentation and professional writing skills.

· Mentor faculty members and support academic planning, performance review and departmental development.

· Lead course outcome (CO) mapping, attainment analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.





· Coordinate NBA/NAAC-related academic documentation and accreditation activities as assigned.

· Promote research, publications, academic collaborations, workshops and faculty development programmes.

· Contribute to institutional committees, academic administration and quality assurance initiatives.

Educational Qualifications

· M.A. in English from a recognized university.

· Ph.D. in English, as required under applicable faculty eligibility norms.

· Eligibility must comply with the applicable AICTE and affiliating university requirements.

Experience

Substantial teaching and research experience, along with the academic credentials prescribed for the Professor cadre.

Required Skills

· Excellent English language proficiency and academic communication.

· Strong leadership, mentoring and departmental coordination skills.
