We are seeking a skilled Bus Chassis and Suspension Designer with hands-on expertise in Creo and strong working knowledge of DFM, DFA, and DFS. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing chassis frames, suspension systems, mounting structures, brackets, and related sub-systems for commercial buses.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop bus chassis structures, including:

o Ladder frame / modular frame structures

o Subframes, cross members, brackets, gussets

o Suspension systems (air suspension, leaf spring, independent setups)

o Axle mounting points, linkages, stabilizer bars

- Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using Creo.

- Apply DFM, DFA, and DFS principles to ensure manufacturability, ease of assembly, cost efficiency, and serviceability.

- Conduct packaging studies for chassis, fuel systems, electrical routing, drivetrain, and other underbody components.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, CAE, Powertrain, Electrical, Bus Body, Vendor Development) to ensure design feasibility.

- Ensure compliance with AIS, CMVR,



and relevant safety & regulatory standards.

- Prepare and manage BOM, engineering documentation, GD&T;, and tolerance analysis.

- Participate in FEA review loops, fatigue studies, and structural optimization activities.

- Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and resolve design issues during development.

- Lead design reviews and participate in continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

- Valuable understanding of:

o Structural design principles

o Sheet metal design & fabrication

o Welded and bolted joint design

o Suspension geometry & kinematics

o Chassis packaging

- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (welding, bending, machining, casting, stamping). • Strong understanding of GD&T;, tolerance stack-up, and engineering fundamentals.

- Ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

- Good communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
