A Guest Service Associate (GSA) - F&B; Service in a hotel is the primary face of the food and beverage department, responsible for delivering high-quality dining experiences, taking orders, and serving guests according to 5-star or brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Guest Greeting & Seating: Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to tables, and present menus with a polite demeanor.
- Order Taking & Recommendations: Explain menu items, daily specials, and beverage/wine options; take accurate orders and enter them into the Point of Sale (POS).
- Food & Beverage Service: Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper temperature, presentation, and adherence to service sequences.
- Upselling & Cross-Selling: Proactively recommend appetizers, specials, desserts, or alternative outlets to maximize revenue.
- Table & Outlet Maintenance: Clear used plates and glassware, reset tables, maintain side stations, and ensure overall cleanliness of the dining area.
- Billing & Cash Handling: Present bills accurately, process cash, credit card, or room-charge payments, and reconcile cash banks at the end of a shift.
- Guest Relations & Complaints: Handle guest inquiries or complaints politely and empathetically,



escalating issues to the F&B; Manager when necessary.
- Hygiene & Safety Compliance: Follow local health codes and food safety standards and maintain strict personal grooming and hygiene.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate smoothly with the kitchen, bar, stewarding, and front office teams for seamless service delivery.
- Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma or equivalent; a degree or diploma in Hotel Management is often preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience as a restaurant server or hospitality GSA is advantageous, though entry-level positions are common.
- Skills:
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic familiarity with POS or billing systems
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and local liquor laws (if applicable)
- Physical & Work Demands: Stamina to stand and walk for long shifts, ability to carry trays/service items, and flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating/split shifts.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
