About SNEHA

SNEHA (Society for Nutrition, Education and Health Action) is a Mumbai-based non-profit working to improve the health, nutrition, and safety of women and children in vulnerable urban communities. With a team of 500+ members, SNEHA drives sustainable change through community engagement, research, and public system partnerships.

About the PVWC Program

The Prevention of Violence against Women and Children (PVWC) program works to prevent gender-based violence, strengthen survivors’ access to protection and justice, empower women, and promote safer, violence-free communities.

Position Snapshot

- Designation: Consultant Researcher
- Location: Across Mumbai, including field visits
- Qualification: M.Phil. or Master’s degree in Social Work or a related discipline
- Experience: 3–5 years in research; experience in gender or violence-related issues preferred
- Reporting to: Program Director

Key Responsibilities

- Design qualitative research frameworks, methodologies, and data collection tools.
- Conduct in-depth interviews and focus group discussions with communities and stakeholders.
- Analyse qualitative data using NVivo 14, including coding, transcription,



and thematic analysis.
- Document program processes, evaluate interventions, and recommend improvements.
- Develop research papers, policy briefs, concept notes, and program reports.
- Collaborate with program teams to translate research findings into actionable insights.

What We’re Looking For

- Strong research, analytical, documentation, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Hindi; Marathi preferred.
- Knowledge of qualitative research methods and NVivo or similar software.
- A proactive approach, robust interpersonal skills, and an interest in field-based research and community engagement.
