Electrical Wiring Technician (Box Build & FATP) – Key Activities

1Carry out electrical wiring and harness assembly for Box Build and FATP as per wiring diagram, schematic, BOM, and SOP/WI.

2Cut wires to the specified length, strip insulation, and select the correct wire gauge, color, and type as per drawing.

3Perform crimping of terminals, lugs, ferrules, and connectors; check crimp quality using pull test and visual inspection.

4Perform soldering of wires, connectors, and components as per workmanship standards.

5Assemble connectors, terminal blocks, relays, contactors, MCBs, fuses, switches, and power supply units into the product.

6Route, bundle, and tie cables using cable ties, clamps, sleeves, and glands with proper strain relief and bend radius.

7Apply wire marking, ferrule numbers, and labels correctly at every termination point.

8Complete earthing/grounding connections and verify earth continuity as per drawing.

9Mount PCBAs, sensors, displays, and sub-assemblies into the enclosure with correct fastening sequence.

10Use torque drivers at the specified torque value and record torque verification where required.

11Perform continuity check, short/open check, and wiring verification using a multimeter and wiring tester.

12Support insulation resistance and hi-pot testing as per test procedure and safety instructions.

13Perform visual inspection before passing it to the next station.

14Identify wiring defects such as loose terminations, wrong connections, damaged insulation, missing parts, and report or rectify them.





15Carry out rework and repair as per approved rework instructions and record all rework done.

16Verify that the material received at the workstation matches the BOM, drawing revision, and part number; report any mismatch to the supervisor.

17Maintain traceability by recording serial number, lot number, barcode scanning, and test results accurately.

18Fill in production sheets, inspection checklists, and shift handover records on time.

19Achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality and cycle time.

20Follow ESD precautions: wear wrist strap, ESD garment and footwear, and handle PCBAs in ESD-secure packaging.

21Follow electrical safety rules, PPE requirements, and lock-out/tag-out practices; do not work on live equipment

22Maintain 5S at the workstation and keep tools, jigs, and fixtures clean and in the correct place.

23Check crimping tools, torque drivers, soldering stations, and multimeters before use; report damage or calibration due.

24Use jigs, fixtures, and wiring boards correctly and suggest improvements to reduce rework and cycle time.

25Support NPI and pilot builds by learning new wiring processes and giving feedback on drawing or process issues.

26Take part in Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, and continuous improvement activities.

27Learn multi-skills across wiring, box build, and testing stations as per the skill matrix.

28Attend training on wiring techniques, quality, safety, and ESD, and follow SOPs and discipline.

29Coordinate with supervisor, Quality, Stores, Engineering, and Maintenance for material, drawing, or equipment issues.

30Report quality, safety, or material problems to the supervisor immediately without delay.

Pay: ₹9,500.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
