Senior Finance Data Analyst

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced senior finance data analyst with strong expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A;), financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and data visualization. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, along with advanced Excel and SQL, to analyze financial data and provide actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze financial statements, including Profit & Loss (P&L;) and Balance Sheets.
- Perform Budget vs. Actual analysis and identify financial variances.
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and management reports.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Use Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to create financial dashboards and visualizations.
- Use advanced Excel and SQL to extract, analyze, validate, and interpret financial data.
- Identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and performance improvement areas.
- Collaborate with finance and business teams to support data-driven decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications





- 3–8 years of relevant experience in Financial Data Analysis, FP&A;, or Finance Analytics.
- Strong knowledge of P&L;, Balance Sheet, financial reporting, and financial statements.
- Hands-on experience in Budget vs. Actual analysis, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and financial data analysis.
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying and analyzing financial data.
- Experience building dashboards and generating actionable financial insights.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Important Requirements

- Candidates must have relevant experience in both finance/financial analysis and data analytics.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools, advanced Excel, and SQL is required.
- Candidates with only accounting, bookkeeping, data entry, or general reporting experience without financial analytics and BI tools experience may not be suitable.
