The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for electrical system design, engineering calculations, preparation of technical drawings, material specifications, and coordination with project, procurement, and execution teams to ensure projects are completed as per approved designs, technical specifications, applicable standards, quality requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Design and Engineering

- Prepare electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, and control circuit drawings.
- Design electrical power distribution systems, including LT panels, HT panels, transformers, switchgear, and distribution boards, as applicable to the project.
- Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, short-circuit calculations, and protection coordination.
- Prepare cable schedules, cable routing layouts, earthing layouts, and lighting layouts.
- Develop electrical design documents in accordance with project specifications and applicable IEC, IS, and other relevant standards.

2. Project Engineering and Documentation

- Prepare electrical BOQs, BOMs, technical specifications, and material requisitions.
- Review customer specifications, tender documents, and electrical drawings.
- Prepare technical submittals, datasheets, and documentation for customer approval.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and engineering documentation.
- Support preparation of project schedules and engineering deliverables.

3. Coordination and Execution Support

- Coordinate with project managers, civil, mechanical, instrumentation, procurement, and site execution teams.




- Provide technical support to site engineers during installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Resolve design-related issues and incorporate approved changes into drawings.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for technical clarifications, equipment selection, and drawing approvals.
- Conduct site visits and attend project review meetings as required.

4. Quality, Safety, and Compliance

- Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
- Review drawings and calculations for technical accuracy before submission.
- Support inspections, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables in line with project milestones.

Required Skills and Competencies

- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical / AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Knowledge of electrical design calculations and power distribution systems.
- Ability to prepare SLDs, cable schedules, BOQs, and technical documentation.
- Understanding of electrical equipment selection, protection systems, earthing, and cable sizing.
- Knowledge of IEC, IS, and relevant electrical safety standards.
- Valuable communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project deliverables and meet deadlines.

Educational Qualifications:

- 2–5 years of experience in electrical design, project engineering, or electrical project execution.
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge and AutoCAD skills may also be considered for junior positions.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, EPC, or electrical contracting projects will be preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
