Job Description – Assistant Manager Stores and Warehouse

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to support and oversee day-to-day warehouse operations for a leading consumer appliances company. The role will ensure smooth execution of warehouse activities, including raw material receiving, storage, inventory management, WMS/SAP transactions, and timely supply of materials to the production line.

The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Site Manager, warehouse supervisors, and the client team to ensure operational targets and service levels are achieved.

Roles and Responsibilities

- - Oversee daily warehouse activities and ensure smooth execution of operations.
- Monitor inward and receive raw materials and ensure proper storage at designated locations.
- Ensure accurate and timely WMS/SAP transactions for all material movements.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and support stock reconciliation and cycle counts.
- Ensure timely supply of raw materials to the production line as per requirements.




- Coordinate with the production and client teams for daily material requirements.
- Supervise warehouse supervisors and operational teams and monitor their performance.
- Plan and allocate manpower as per daily operational requirements.
- Monitor productivity, service levels, and operational KPIs.
- Review daily reports and highlight operational issues to the Site Manager.
- Ensure compliance with warehouse processes, safety, housekeeping, and 5S standards.
- Support the Site Manager in resolving operational issues and implementing process improvements.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of warehouse activities.

Requirements

- - 4+ years of experience in warehouse/logistics operations, preferably in manufacturing or consumer appliances.
- Experience in raw material and inventory management.
- WMS/SAP experience is mandatory.
- Graduation in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is preferred but not necessary
