Job Title: Design Engineer – MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled MEP Design Engineer to prepare, review, and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs for building construction projects. The candidate should have knowledge of MEP design software, technical drawings, BOQs, and coordination with project execution teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare MEP design drawings, layouts, schematics, and detailed engineering drawings for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Develop HVAC ducting layouts, chilled water piping layouts, ventilation systems, and equipment schedules.
- Prepare electrical layouts, lighting layouts, power distribution drawings, and cable routing plans.
- Design plumbing, drainage, water supply, and firefighting systems as per project requirements.
- Prepare shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and technical design calculations.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, and site execution teams.
- Identify and resolve clashes between MEP services and other building components.
- Prepare BOQs, material specifications, technical submittals, and quantity take-offs.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, safety requirements, and project specifications.
- Review drawings and incorporate comments from clients, consultants, and project management teams.




- Provide technical support to site teams during installation and execution.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely submission of drawings.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Relevant specialization or experience in MEP design is preferred.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Understanding of MEP design standards, codes, and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation and quantity estimation.
- Strong coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Valuable communication and documentation skills.

Experience

- Typically 2–5 years of experience in MEP design and building services projects.
- Experience in commercial buildings, hotels, hospitals, or large-scale construction projects is preferred.
